TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Tallahassee Police Department says a parent’s car was shot at as they picked up their child from a parking lot party at Cascades Park early Friday morning.

According to the incident report, officers were dispatched to the area of Gadsden and Van Buren streets around 2:09 a.m. Friday. Police say the teen was attending a party in the parking lot nearby, and their parent came to pick them up.

As the parent drove up, an unknown suspect fired multiple shots into the air, the incident report states. When the parent drove away with their kid, the back of their car was hit with bullets, according to TPD.

“There were no injuries as a result of the gunfire,” the incident report says. “Shell casings were collected for evidence.”
