At their assembly on April 14, the County Commissioners reviewed a report on the impression of COVID-19 on Tourist Development Tax (TDT) income, which funds the Leon County Division of Tourism and the Council on Tradition and Arts (COCA).

TDT is collected on in a single day stays in Leon County. In accordance with the report, Leon County taxes on the full 5 p.c licensed by state statute had projected $5.9 million in TDT income in FY 2020.

COCA can even must make funds cuts to take care of its $435,021 shortfall.
