Since 2007 KCCI has been bettering Leon County’s financial vitality by volunteer-driven tasks that assist retain and appeal to expertise. The 2020 KCCI Neighborhood Catalyst workforce created Leon County’s 1st academic bike park at Sabal Palm Elementary, A Neighborhood Partnership Faculty (SPECPS). KCCI collaborated with SPECPS to re-purpose underutilized areas to create interactive areas that promote bicycle studying experiences for kids ages 4-11. The initiative integrates with Sabal Palm’s strategic transfer to turn into a neighborhood partnership college. The KCCI volunteer Neighborhood Catalysts created an academic bike park with three zones: an academic, artistic bike house that resembles actual life-situations on a basketball courtroom, an off-road expertise, and a lined coaching space for youthful college students and to be used on wet or scorching days.
