Every Friday, Tallahassee Foodies will function 5 “what’s new in Tallahassee” bites (pun meant) that we really feel it is advisable to learn about. Hopefully, The Foodies Five weekly inspiration board will encourage you to attempt one thing new each week!

  1. Wow, we’ve had an incredible week celebrating scrumptious meals on the TCC Basis’s annual Cleaver and Cork occasions!  On Thursday afternoon, Chef Leon had the honour of interviewing this yr’s Cleaver and Cork featured Chef, Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian on behalf of Tallahassee Foodies (I can’t wait to share this video interview with you all, keep tuned).  Later that night, we met up as soon as once more for a cooking demonstration hosted by Chef Zakarian, and we’ll see one another once more tomorrow afternoon at their Uncorked on Campus Meals and Wine Competition, the place Chef Zakarian, Shannon of Tally Cheese Boards, Chef Brian Knepper of Savour, Chef Leon and others will thrill the group with instructional, but tasty demos!
  2. Development is effectively underway at Charlie Park, a next-level rooftop expertise on the new AC resort in Cascades Park.   4. La Florida Espresso & Wine, the most recent, thrilling addition to the TCC Middle for Innovation will have fun their grand opening this week. The opening will kick off on March eighth from 5 – 6 p.m. with a ribbon slicing, in partnership with the Capital Metropolis Chamber of Commerce and the Tallahassee Downtown Enchancment Authority.  You’ll find La Florida at 350 S. Duval Avenue.  
  5. The newest addition to the La Tiendita menu is their ‘Beijo de Queijo’ (cheese kiss). They’re produced from deep fried pâo de queijo dough, tossed in sugar and cinnamon, and doused with dulce de leche!! Get pleasure from with a Brazilian espresso or latte!
