Authorities said the plane crashed about a half-mile off the Venice Fishing Pier around 9:30 p.m. Investigators said the plane went down after taking off from Venice Municipal Airport.

Two aircraft have crashed at night into the Gulf in a span of 90 days. The gulf is pitch black at night and it’s a black hole. It will be shown that both pilots lost their sight of the horizon and did not focus on their flight instruments until it was too late. Put a dam warning for this at the airport. These pilots are over confident and do not appreciate the danger of flying at night.
Wasn’t there another crash two months ago in the same area off the gulf ?? This one sounds like the same thing disorientation
They should move the airport away from the island….the whole island, Including that airport. Neighborhood is too dark especially near the water.
