You don’t need to have a kitchen mishap with dogs nabbing the freshly roasted turkey a la “A Christmas Story” to want to get out of the house for a meal on Christmas.

Several national chain restaurants plan to be open for the Christmas holidays, including Applebee’s, Denny’s, Golden Corral, Hooter’s, IHOP, Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesdays, TGIFridays and Waffle House.
Aaru’s Multicuisine Restaurant

The American cuisine restaurant is located in the Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown. It will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 25.
Mayuri Indian Restaurant

Specializing in traditional Indian food, the restaurant will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will reopen at 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Christmas Day.
Nagoya Steakhouse and Sushi

The steakhouse and sushi restaurant will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Dec. 25. The restaurant offers authentic Japanese food for entree prices starting at $19 up to $42.
The Lodge at Wakulla Springs

Zingales Billiards and Sports Bar
