For the 4th year, a business based in Tallahassee was spreading the holiday spirit to local kids and their families over the weekend. The “Holiday on the Hill” event happened on the Florida A&M University campus on Saturday, Dec. 9.

There was live music, a resource fair with more than 2 dozen human services booths, food trucks and even a toy and clothing giveaway presided over by the Jolly Old Elf himself. Mikhail Scott, president of Indelible Solutions’ charitable foundation, said a minority-owned business like his brings a special connection to the occasion.

“I think what makes us so special is that we have an understanding of these communities. A lot of times, government initiatives are for the underserved or communities that have been devastated after disasters. And so since we have a lot of shared experience and experts that come from that field, and also a lot of inviduals that might not be that far removed from those circumstances, it really helps to better understand, connect and understand the culture of the people we’re trying to help.”

Also, Scott and the founders of Indelible Solutions attended and continue to have strong ties to FAMU.
