This is why we need school vouchers. I'm personally okay with them having the verse, but as a Christian Conservative, I have personal bias. If this were to be be something related to LGBTQ, I'm sure there would be outrage and demand to remove it, so we have to be objectively honest with ourselves. The benefit of school vouchers would allow people to pick their schools, so if a school allowed this, fine, then parents that were outraged would be free to use their vouchers to take their kids to a different school. This would allow for choice on behalf of the parents to where their kids are going to school.

I read the online article on the WFLA website about this story. The teacher that wants this bible verse removed is Jewish and explains that growing up she heard stories of her parents in the holocaust. It’s the reason she gets angry as she passes her coworkers parking spot everyday. “I feel like it’s attacking me as a Jew.” She said and “They survived. We didn’t.”
I can not imagine the horrors her parents had to go through. The many stories I have heard from survivors are truly horrific. However to say the words “They survived. We didn’t.” I believe is unwarranted. This teacher does have a right to her opinion and perhaps the interview on the website is not presenting the full context of what this teacher said.
The Nazis murdered thousands of Catholic priests and many others were sent to concentration camps and died due to being used for medical experiments, lack of food , forced labor and disease. Christian Pastors faced similar fates.
Anyone who is interested in reading of the Nazi persecution of Christians. There are numerous websites that have articles regarding this topic. The Jewish Virtual Library has an article titled “Priests and Pastors died for their beliefs” Another is the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum website. This website has numerous articles recounting the persecution and murder of Christian clergy. Simply typing “The priests of Dachau concentration camp” will bring up many websites regarding the horrors and murder of thousands of priests and pastors.

You’d think someone whose family was persecuted in the Holocaust would not turn into a persecutor. Christ was a Jew and no true born again Christian had anything to do with the Holocaust, in fact they actually helped the Jews- read about Corrie Ten Boom.
