A federal judge announced a long-awaited decision on whether Hillsborough State Attorney Andrew Warren should be restored to office, ruling Friday that the ousted prosecutor cannot be reinstated, even though Gov. Ron DeSantis violated state law when he suspended him last year.

  9. The court makes it pretty clear that the grounds for removing Warren were unfounded and that this was a naked power grab by the governor.
    What is most disturbing is the state attorney was elected by the people twice and the governor overturned that election without valid grounds canceling the will of the voters in Tampa. Of course since Trump there are many MAGA voters who believe there should be no democratic elections that elect democrats ever. They seem to relish the opportunity to deny the will of any voter that does not agree with them. I think they call that authoritarian.

Ron DeSantis, right, suspended Andrew Warren in August over the prosecutor’s signing of statements that said he would not pursue criminal charges against seekers or providers of LONG TERMS ABORTIONS or gender transition treatments, as well as his policies about not charging people with certain minor crimes. Warren sued to be reinstated. AND LOST BECAUSE HE HAS TO FOLLOW THE STATE LAWS OR BE FIRED!
