  1. Trains have the right of way because they can't stop. This crossing has an added stop sign which is redundant since there are railroad tracks crossing a road with a railroad crossing sign. This is a tragic loss for this family but it's 100% the driver's fault. They're going to find out they can't sue the city or the railroad over this one.

  2. I’m sorry but the driver had to have seen the train coming. I’ve been on that stretch of 92 and you can see the train running parallel to the road. The accident happened during the day so there shouldn’t be an excuse to not have seen the train. And you can literally see signage showing that they were about to cross over a train tracks. I’m sorry but the driver was at fault. How do you not see a big ahh train coming toward you? Anyways, my condolences to the victims but somethings fishy about this especially that the SUV crawled over the track? Was this a planned murder/suicide? The boy needs to be questioned as to what was going on I’m the vehicle if he remembers and someone around has to know something, You can’t tell me there was no other cars around. 92 stays busy

  3. I feel bad for the family. The issue is, the driver did NOT follow rules and traffic laws. At all railroads crossing, You MUST stop, look and listen before crossing a rail road track. It is not the rail roads fault the driver did not follow the law. The tracks are well marked as required by law. As far as lights and crossing arms, this is a PRIVATE road, NOT a public road or public access road. If the owner of the PRIVATE road wants lights and crossing arms, they need to pay for it themselves.

  4. I feel badly for the family, it will take time to heal.

I would, however, like to point out that there are specific "rules of the road" we all learned to get our first drivers license, and one of them if to always STOP, and look and listen for a train before crossing, regardless of barrier or no barrier. The rules are there to prevent this kind of tragedy. So this has nothing to do with the rail system, but it is all about driver responsibilty. 🤔

  5. Praying for him, his family, and community. I am so very sorry for your loss. 💙♾️🦋
In my opinion there should’ve been guardrails and lights to warn of a train being on the tracks in the first place, and I don’t care that-that part of the road is for a private residence. If any cars on this road go over this train area of track there should’ve been the right equipment up at this crossover road to protect any and all who use this road. Side street or not.
