What they don't get is that this bill only applies to the republican party. Fun historical fact what we know as the republican party today were the original the Democrats and the democratic party of today were originally called the republicans. For some stupid reason they both rebranded to the opposing party. Meaning that the party that endorsed slavery was the Democrats who are now the modern day GOP. So if that Bill had passed Ron desantis would have killed his own party.

As you point out, this bill dosen't mention the democratic party by name. It mentions political parties which supported forced servitude and bondage and would include the Nazi Party and Comunist party along with the Democratic party. As we remove statues of Confederates from our cities there is no denying that the the democratic party was central to governments which enslaved millions of Americans and caused a war that killed one half a million Americans. The time is right. The Bill has my support.

My Dad was a dem and switched parties to a rep as my mother switched from rep to dem.
