Not impressed with what I see. Cheap machine. Pad holder might be out of balance. Rattling in the handle is not right. No excuse. Send it back and get a machine from a major manufacturer. Advance, Clarke even Powr-flite. 38 years industry experience here!!!
Lower handle closer to belt line easier to control. But my 175 don't rock like that unless pad is not centered. Not normal play up and down. But again never seen that machine.
The handle rattles and loose play in the adjustment ,that’s enough to send it back. The shaking while running it maybe an old unevenly worn pad , loose screws in pad holder/driver or the play in the adjustment lever is play a role
15 yrs experience mostly with vct . I’ve never seen play or rattling in a handle like that. The wobbling didn’t look to bad to me. Could’ve been because floor wasn’t wet idk
Hi Paul, should have no play, as inorder to get the machine to go left or right you have to lift handle or push down so the slop you have is no good. Also the wobble i think is coming from low quality pad driver that is off centered at the clutch…in my opinion I would send it back. If sending back is not an option you may have to sort that wobble and slop for sure. Take off driver turn machine upsides down and start it and look at the clutch assembly to see if there is a wobble , if not then put pad on and do same
Ah, the attributes of a low-quality machine. You were far better off buying a used top of the line machine, like a Clark for $500 or less. I must have used at least 50 different not new 175s in the Army and never had the issues you are having with a new machine.
Hey man if you’re looking for a good rotary machine there’s a pawnshop down here in Oregon that has a nice pretty expensive rotary on sale for 90 bucks don’t know how many hours are on it but it’s tried and true definitely a solid machine I know it’s a little bit of a stretch from Seattle but I was thinking of picking it up myself but I was just going to start working with the oreck first it’s about a 20 inchPad machine it’s the exact same machine that heavens best uses a lot of the time
It will settle down as you use it as the fibre pad may be a little compressed on one side. I hate it when they bounce like that but it settles down pretty quick usually. Being careful to keep the fibre pads from getting compressed in storage helps. As far as the handle goes my machine also has the ball bearing set up and sometimes I can hear them rattle as they are loose in their little cavity. It is a simple and effective setup so that is no concern. The play in the handle is concerning though so I would take a good look at the locking mechanism at the pivot point, perhaps something is not tight enough, that does not seem correct and over time could become a problem. Hope that helps.
Hey buddy I just uploaded a Rotary demo on my YouTube channel for you……Pugh’s Professional Carpet Cleaning….hope it helps

Not normal should not be all lose up by the handle like that no 175 I've ever used did that
It shakes but not that wobbly tho

You got to put the pad on even all the way around
Another thing if your pad is compresed on one side it will do that always let the handle up writh position when you don't use it
Your pad is not centred first and if your machine is a 13 inches machine for example you have to take 13 inches pad
That handle, definitely has something broken or loose!!!! Never had that exact machine, but it sounds like something is loose or broken.
The rest of the questions, don't feel good enough to publicly display an answer lol. Look forward to hearing what others say❤
