  1. Gypsy painters, roofers, pavers come on guy your old like me don't tell me you ain't heard of this crap befor…use your head and quit expecting to get something for nothing in this day and age

  2. Who the hell just writes a $12,000 check all willy-nilly? What an old fool? He at least could've cancelled the check after writing it. Just go and give his kids' inheritance away to anyone that knocks on his door. Dear God. Someone needs to put their Dad in a retirement home before he signs away everything he owns. Sheesh 😒

  3. Terrible!!! Similar issue happened to me. I arranged for movers. Two weeks prior, they changed the price. Then, as soon as 'most' of the stuff was loaded on their truck (they ran out of room), they started with this "shipping fee". I bursted out in tears. The guy said, it's ok, I'll take care of the additional charges. Then said, you just have to tip us both – $100
People / businesses that take advantage of others by SCAMMING them are lower than low! Terrible to see this poor man so upset. And that was a lot of money they stole from him!!!!

  4. There's a group of young men in their mid/late twenties really harassing and bullying you to pay cash on the spot for pavement work OR city building inspectors will charge you . These scammers all have strong Irish accents and they just won't quit

  5. Happening to me. Came back with huge bill. In the mean time with that many people around I stuck my pistol in my pocket.
I told them like hell I'm not paying you that. Why don't you call sheriff and complain In fact I will call them for you. Man said Oh you're paying and started spreading out. Once I backed up some and flashed the pistol. Seeing that and calling sheriff they loaded up and hauled ass and I got some free asphalt.
Hard to believe that guy didn't stall long enough to get a call into sheriff and get a gun that is if he had one.

  6. Back around 1990 when I was first getting started in life and paying off student loans, I was living in a safe but beat down trailer park in Romulus, Michigan. These groups of people that ran these shady operations lived in the trailer park during the summer months and everyone there knew how their travelling outfit of family members were scamming people out of state. They were definitely wealthy as they always drove new high end vehicles and the trailers that they lived in were brand new with nice decks built around them while the rest of us were in the typical old 1960's model year beaters. They were for the most part, cordial but I did not like them and they were under the impression that they could do what they wanted to. One day they took my parking spot in front of my house and didn't at first seem as if they wanted to move their car, at 6'4" 225# and raised in the Detroit area I quickly convinced them that I would not be intimidated. They never interfered with me again. As soon as fall came, they would button up their homes and would move out like a convoy in all of their Cadillacs, dually pickup trucks and dump trucks hauling flatbed trailers with paving equipment to head back to Florida.

  7. Years ago this was happening in Aus. ( Probably still is ) From memory, they were a bunch of Irish men who came to Aus every year. They would use safety vests from a well known civil engineering company. Their ploy was to tell potential victims that thye were finishing a job close by and had spare asphalt left over and would offer a very low cost job. aka a C & N job. Cheap and nasty. They were busted and kicked out of the country after facing charges and banned from the country. Bogus house painters did the same thing. A 90+ year old uncle was a victim. Cost him around $3000 for a purely shitty job where they only painted parts of the house with a severely watered down paint. They need their nuts removed with a rusty blunt knife, bastard with no respect for anyone. I just wish the laws had been in place regarding elder abuse.

  8. Those gypsies used to gather around west side of ftworth. They’ll scatter out all across the country and once a year they’ll all meet back up and divide the loot they’ve squandered all year. I’m out west of ftworth about 30 miles and always know when they’re back in town there’s new black top driveways on every street . They have nice new shiny dump trucks and equipment . Gotta be quick to see em . They’ll swarm thru the area real fast . In a few days they’re gone again . I’m sure they have different scams besides asphalt . They’ll also hang around Walmart store parking lots begging for money usually several in a mini van to look like a family with children so you’ll feel sorryfor em . Nothing but pirates . Do not turn your back to em they’ll have your wallet and the little bit of change out of your front pocket .

  9. This is happening in Citrus County, happened to my parents. 11k cash for the driveway, didnt do it right, refuse to finish, and never gave us a contract for it. Reliable Paving isn't worth it if you are in this county.

  10. Its a gypsy company, there are several around my area.
They usually work out of the area, because everyone around here knows what they are!
Hope he gets his money back
