He didn’t sweep her off her feet.

A UK cleaning company owner reports invoicing a woman $900 for a six-hour deep scrub of her home — only for her to reply, “Get a grip we’re married with 3 kids.”

“Last week we had a very unfortunate incident when a customer refused to pay!” Marc Hatch, owner of Clean Me Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning in Doncaster, England, wrote on Facebook last week.

“After cleaning a large corner sofa, 3 bedroom carpets and a stone floor the customer informed us she was absolutely delighted with the results! great news or so we thought!” he continued. “On requesting payment the customer sent us the below message.”

Hatch, 39, included the response from his wife, Jasmine, 34, in the post, which has soaked up 14,000 likes.

“I’m always winding her up. We do it to each other, me to her more than anything,” Hatch explained to Kennedy News and Media.

“We have an ongoing joke about things that we should get paid for,” continued the father of three. “If I’ve got the kids, I’ll say to her, ‘I’m babysitting the kids, where’s my babysitting money?’”

Hatch had the day off on Jan. 18, so he dropped the kids at school and took their cockapoo, Teddy, for a walk before undertaking the six-hour clean.

After steam cleaning the sofa and carpets, Hatch washed the stone flooring.

He said he does a deep clean like that every six months — it usually takes him half a day.

“I normally just say it to [Jasmine the payment info], but I thought, ‘You know what, I’ll send her a message,’” Hatch shared.

“She was sitting next to me when I sent it,” he added. “I pretended I was messaging someone else and she looked at me, started laughing straight away, and replied instantly.”

Jasmine, a mental health nurse, says the exchange is “typical Marc.”

“He won’t be getting that payment,” she noted. “There will be some response to him, I’m just biding my time.”

In the meantime, Facebook commenters praised Hatch’s soap opera.

“This is brilliant,” one user applauded.

“That’s so funny,” another laughed.

“She can pay and then take her out for a nice meal and pay for a babysitter,” a third advised.

Hours after Hatch shared the message to his wife on social media, the owner of Cobra Cleaning in the UK made a similar post on Facebook.

“Get lost im your wife,” was the response.
