    People carry without or with a permit stop acting like this is going to make others more dangerous they are already dangerous and I need to protect myself from these idiots who just want bodies on their names

  5. Law abiding gun owners do not have a high crime rate. 50% of the violent crimes are done by blacks. If you want to reduce violent crime and shootings start there. Fix the schools and change laws and cultures to get fathers back into the black families and raising their kids. Better schools and having fathers involved with kids is proven to reduce the violent crime rates

  6. Laws don't effect criminals, but they do the rest of us. Their are alot of people who aren't criminals, but aren't that mentally stable, and if allowed to carry a gun freely,,and without pause, might just go off one day. Really don't see why anyone who wants to carry can't just get a permit. You need a license to drive a car, you should be required to get some training to carry a gun in public.

I have been a Florida Concealed Weapon Permit Holder since 1993 after I took a 12 hour course with the Orange County Sheriff Department and I have keep that permit ever since even during my time in the US NAVY where I took Advanced Small Arms Training and became a Small Arms Instructor and Range Officer. I returned to Florida in 2010 and I have been here in Polk county ever since where I have now renewed my permit 5 times and I think if a person is going to strap a weapon on they should be properly trained in the laws and consequences of their actions. I also believe that most new gun owners do not understand the capabilities of the weapons they carry because of the movies and video games that they play and that fuels allot of arguments on the Forums online and on Reddit because allot of the new gun owners think that a 9mm pistol is the all capable weapon because that is what YouTube Influencers that are Bought and paid for by both the Gun and ammo manufacture say that it can do. Well 9mm NATO, 9×19, 9 Luger or 9mm Parabellum which are all the names for your basic 9mm pistol like a Glock 17/19/27 or Sig Sauer P226/P229 or the US NAVY SEALs MK25 a SIG P226 that has it internal parts coated with a Phosphate coating that allows the parts like the hammer, sear, disconnector and Trigger to be protected from Salt water. All this pistols are Great and in the Hands of a Trained Professional like a Navy SEAL, British SAS or Army Ranger that knows how to fire what is called a Double Tap Properly those Weapons are Incredibly LEATHAL but that takes tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition being fired at the range in all times of weather and conditions to know what the weapon is going to do when the time to go is NOW and Training Takes OVER and All you SEE is NOT a Person with a weapon IN front of you but just a TARGET that needs to be NEUTRALIZED! I was not a SEAL or Range while I was in the Military but I was trained by a US Army Combat Infantry Officer of WWII, Korea and beginning part of Vietnam and them when I was old enough I joined Shooting League and then International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) and I competed in Matches here in Florida and around the South Eastern States. When I joined the US NAVY I participated in the East Coast Shooting Team as an Alternative since my duties kept me very busy and we were very short handed in my shop. All I am trying to say that SOME SORT of Structure should be stablished so we do not have a 22 year old that has never been in the Military, Boy Scouts or High School JROCT that HAS ZERO Weapon Training is all of the SUDDEN carrying a Glock 19 with 15 rounds of ammo in the pistol plus another 42 rounds on his belt because he is carrying two additional 21 round magazines on him and something happens where he pulls his gun and shoots a kid or even worse he is killed by the bad guy because he was wearing body armor and the 9mm rounds didn't anything but the bad guy had a 40sw and fired 2 shots and the good guy 22 year old is now down and the bad guy has another weapon plus more ammo.
    Every since the start of all this active shooters I have taken notes of that has happen and what the bad guy was using and wearing like the kind of body armor they are using. Ever since my Military days I have had my own Body Armor because we were not issued the the Lightest or the best so I had to pay for the very best that I could afford because my life was on the line. I have the seen the Weapons Race between Ammunition makers and Body Armor makers to see who can make a better product and Right NOW the AMMO makers are Winning because to have TOP of the Line Body which right Now is Dragon Skin at almost 4,000 for a vest that covers Front, Side and Back or the Ceramic Titanium Ballistic Matrix with a Polymer Risin on top of it that is a little less money at 2,800 for a complete vest setup. Most of the Active shooter are using Surplus or barging basement armor that is running under 1K. That armor does protect but if you know what to do and where to place your shots the person defending against an Active Shooter does not have to Punch Thru the Armor! Using the Kinetic Power of Caliber like a 10mm Auto and a Bullet like the Underwood 135gr JHP (Jacked Hollow Point) that has a Muzzle Velocity of 1600 FPS and Muzzle Energy of 768 FT/LBS of Energy even if the person has Armor on the Bullet is going to PUSH that ARMOR back if it is SOFT ARMOR the HIT is going to be like a FAST BALL Pitched by a Major League Pitcher throwing a 130 MPH Fast Ball and that will BREAK RIBS and if it hits the Sternum MAJOR Internal Damage is Possible at the very Least they are going to get the WIND KNOCKED out of them! IF they are wearing Hard Armor the Result is going to be a little different but they are still going to get knocked down and since I practice with my 10mm Auto allot two of those rounds would be enough to give people time get clear of the line of fire.
    If you watch the Movie John Wick 2 when he is in Rome getting his new Suit and asked what kind of liner and he answer Tactical and the dress maker gives him the spec of the new armor that is pretty close to the truth of what is available and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE a SUIT like that would be a 20-25K but the Armor is limited to take multiple hits from 9mm but when the opponent Upgrades to something bigger like a 40SW which is a Smaller version of the 10mm auto or the 357SIG which a round that has similar Ballistic Characteristics to a 357 Magnum but in a Semi Auto Pistol which I used to use 40sw and 357sig as my GO TO Concealed Carry Weapons until recently!

Repeal the second amendment because it is the cause of this: just another incident of gun violence in America.

  23. Murder is illegal, doing drive by shootings is illegal. I also doubt those guns were legally obtained. I am sure making more laws for people who don't follow laws will solve the issue. Some peoples logic is amazing.🙄

  32. At least 4 shooters in Lakeland broke a minimum of 50 federal, state and local laws during yesterday's shooting. One more gun control law wouldn't stop them.

  34. Libby is quite opinionated. Florida would be the 26th state with constitutional carry (if another state doesn't beat us to it). Someone show me where gun crimes from legal gun owners has spiked. Until then the only controversy is in the "FEELINGs" of one side, not the empirical evidence.
