HOLLAND — Randy’s Carpet Care has been purchased by another family-owned cleaning company: KODA.

KODA Carpet Cleaning at 100 S. Waverly Road was founded three years ago by father-and-son duo Jack and Zach Den Uyl. With the purchase of Randy’s, the company will double in size.

“We see a lot of alignment between these two companies, and we look forward to serving even more customers in West Michigan,” Zach said. “We’ll continue to offer great service and value to Randy’s customers.”

The purchase was effective in February, but the connection between the businesses goes back much further. Years ago, when Jack was in college, he worked at Randy’s Carpet Care.

Randy’s was founded in 1980 by Randy Dubbink, who says he’s grateful for the people of Holland and their support.

“As I set out on the next chapter of my life, I’m passing the torch to KODA,” he said. “I leave knowing this father-son team is the right team to keep serving our customers.”

To accommodate growth, KODA purchased three additional vans and tore down a wall to create more space at their facility. All operations from Randy’s have been moved there.

For Jack and Zach, the goal is a smooth transition.

“We want this to be seamless,” Jack said. “Our cleaning technology will only get better as time moves forward. We won’t be satisfied with being average.”

KODA offers services ranging from residential and commercial carpet cleaning to furniture and upholstery cleaning to tile and grout cleaning.
