HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — For the third time since the completion of the 2021 season, Marshall has dipped into the NCAA Transfer Portal to add a player from Florida State.
Late Tuesday, FSU transfer Jadarius Green-McKnight pledged his commitment to the Herd.
Green-McKnight, who came to FSU as a four-star prospect and the No. 24 rated safety in the class of 2020 by 247 Sports, has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
His former Seminole teammates, running back Khalan Laborn and wide receiver Bryan Robinson, previously transferred to Marshall earlier in the calendar year and are already enrolled at MU.
Marshall has now added six transfers to its roster from Power 5 schools this offseason.
Green-McKnight entered the transfer portal on April 21 after taking part in Florida State’s spring drills.
He’s a Fort Myers, Florida native who committed to FSU while Willie Taggart was the Seminoles’ head coach, and maintained true to FSU despite Mike Norvell taking over for Taggart as head coach. Green-McKnight chose the Seminoles over the likes of as Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
Green-McKnight had limited playing time at Florida State, appearing in seven games over two seasons — five in 2020 and two in 2021. He had a limited role as a reserve and special teams player and resigtered one tackle for the Seminoles last season against Boston College.
Green-McKnight, listed at 5-foot-11, 208 pounds, arrived at FSU as a safety and spent his first season at that position, but was moved to linebacker for the 2021 campaign.

DRESSING LIKE THE HERD
The Marshall Athletic Department is hosting its version of a yard sale this weekend.
For the first time in five years, the department is holding an equipment sale on Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon in the Chris Cline Athletic Center.
Items will be available from the MU football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, track, volleyball and golf teams.
