  1. So the Green Dragon is STPP or Sodium Tripolyphosphate with a polymer added to it to make it an encapsulation product. The STPP by itself is somewhat of an encapsulator actually. I’ve been using it for years and it is the backbone of my chemistry. I think it is fantastic and cleans incredibly well. Makes the water super soft. Lubricates the pump seals so they will last several times longer than straight water. I will actually descale a heat exchanger too, so no worries there. The only downside is that it is a phosphate and is hard on the watershed. It can cause algae blooms when it gets into any body of water. While I’m never certain exactly what the legal guidelines are with waste water, I’m pretty insistent on not putting it down the drain into the sewer system. I prefer to drain it out on the customers or my own grass. The grass loves it and it gets really green and grows like crazy. Most if not all fertilizers contain phosphate, so I feel perfectly good disposing of it that way.

  2. Great video, Thanks Paul, I was wondering about if I should run pool hose or buy an extra 50 – 100 feet of 2" but now after watching I'll go with 100 feet of pool hose, Thanks again for the awesome video. Cheers 🙂 – Another quick question have you ever used any of the vacaway products? as I'm thinking about the encap green.
