TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — A brand new park and infrastructure mission is coming to Tallahassee’s Southside; with building to happen later this summer season.

The Orange-Meridian Placemaking Project is investing about $four million to construct the park– shut a drainage ditch on the Orange Avenue and Meridian Avenue property– and create a multi-use path by way of the park.

Project Supervisor Junious Brown of Blueprint Intergovernmental Company says they’re excited to get began.

“It feels just like the group designed this park. I imply all the facilities they selected. From the playground gear, to the train gear to what kind of fruit timber they wished within the park, so that is thrilling and I am unable to wait to get began on it later this yr,” Brown mentioned.
