Like the way you think. I'm going to put velcro were you put the nail polish and see if it will hold the corners.
Where can we buy new handle you will be installing?
It may work without the slots. That pad seems to grip well.

I bought replacement velcro for the Orbot and cut it down and glued on my Oreck driver. It seems to work rather well and the Tuways work the best on it. I also have some TRS Glad pads and they seem to stay on well and clean well. Microfibre pads work quite well too but the velcro does choke up with fibres after a while and must be cleaned off. I did a short video a few weeks ago showing myself pulling the fibres out and it will work well for a while. I haves some velcro ordered from the encap store so I will try that next and see if it stands up any better. Too bad Oreck doesn't have a better system.
