In a statement to 8 On Your Side, the district said, “We recognize the challenges this can present, but the district does not have the drivers available to reserve two seats on two buses for students. Many of the efficiencies we are attempting to achieve with route reductions would be lost.”

  1. It can be done but in order to understand the disruption it tends to cause you have to be a driver. So if they get a pass to go to another bus then there’s a sub. Doesn’t know where the other stop is. Or does the parent call for change at the last minute. This also leads to the possibility of dropping a student at the wrong stop. No one home so they are then vulnerable and the news would be plastering driver’s face all over tv. It adds time to a route meaning the rest of the kids get home late because of the change. It isn’t always difficult but these are real issues that happen.

  2. Maybe the school districts could manage their money better and stop having too much bs and pay the bus drivers better money to deal with out of control kids…and get unions out of the schools also

  3. The students need a BUS pas irrespective of where the student is domiciled at any one time.
The argument about the shortage of drivers is totally irrelevant and hogwash.
It should be obvious that any one student can ONLY board ONE Bus at any one time.
One keeps hearing more political excuses and political BS as time progresses.
Is it any wonder that people outside of the USA call the country RETARDISTAN
The bigger question is – Why are seemingly sensible people voting for these clowns
and waving their miniature flags at them –
It is some fake patriotic BS that people have been indoctrinated with.
STOP doing it and become normal.
