Pinellas first responders prepare for emergency with mass shooting training

Then the teachers make their action plan for running away – emergency exit and where the reunion point is located.

Teachers will try to consult with the Police that are there training them, or the school officials that are there making sure they are trained, but neither will help them. Both the police and the county school system need to avoid liability in case a teacher fails to protect their students from danger.

That's too bad, because there were some good questions. What do you do with mobility handicapped children on floors about the ground floor? Do you abandon injured children that will slow down the group, like if you have a child with crutches?

Was interesting putting yellow yarn on the ceiling, from the classroom door window to the edge of where you could see into the class. Teachers would explain to kids the difference between "Concealment" and "Cover" – nifty CQC training for your kids!
