TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) — The Nationwide Climate Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for much of the Big Bend and South Georgia till Saturday night.

Dry air, wind, and warmth will create circumstances favorable for spreading fires quickly. Crews have been busy the previous couple of days battling and containing brushfires right here in Gadsden and Leon County.

Governor Ron DeSantis issued an government order that can assist crews comprise wildfires in Bay County. In keeping with the governors workplace, the Atkins Street fireplace has burned an estimated 800 acres, destroyed eight properties, and led to the evacuation of greater than 1,000 properties in Bay County.
