Its not natural that a 13 year old would do this.
That is a child.
Yes he did something horrible , yes he should be held accountable.
But the adults around him should also be accountable, moreso.
This kind of behavior doesn't come out of nowhere.
These gangs are recruiting children, because children dont have a fully developed mind, they're more impressionable and easily manipulated.
Especially if theyre giving these children drugs.
This world is a terrible place, and these children need to be taken out of the environment that has corrupted them, and get them away from the adults that are using them.
13 is not beyond getting that behavior fixed.
And the people talking about giving a life sentence, its making it obvious that people dont see prison as rehabilitation. A life sentence for someone who has barely started their life isnt any kind of justice, thats just plain torture.
Its evil that these gangs are using kids as an easy replaceable resource to do their dirty work, and these people need to be found, and they need to be stopped.
Only locking up the kids and calling it day isnt going tl fix the problem, because they're going to find more of them.

Thank you Grady for what you said about a kid with a gun. It doesn't matter how old they are if they think they are old enough to run around with a gun shooting people they are old enough to be shot at. AND COLOR DOES NOT MATTER! These reporters who think that way should have to take one of these kids home for about a week and then let's see what they think. When they assault their own parents and do what they want to anyhow, or if the parent are the same as their kid how do you stop them and control their actions? You put them in jail and hope it scares them straight. I am sick to death of our police officers being run down because they were doing their jobs and protecting THE PUBLIC WHICH INCLUDES REPORTERS. This has got to be the least law abiding localites in the US. Remind me not to move to polk county or anywhere in Florida. The crime rate makes NYC look tame.
