First of all, that’s not a major road. That’s a back road that goes around the sharp curve behind what used to be the old dump. The only reason why the media is giving this any attention is because transplants to SOG were foolish enough to pay $600,000 and $700,000 for houses back there. If they have their way, they will tear up the historic brick roads down there and do away with all traces of South Tampa history just so that they can have a more aesthetically pleasing neighborhood. It’s ridiculous that these people think their money makes them have some right to continue to erase South Tampa history just to make their commute will be a little more pleasant. 🙄🙄
