You could feel this Mother's heart overcome with gratefulness. This is a wonderful project. As a small child I was in the hospital getting surgery and to this day I can still remember being on the gurney in the hall preparing to go in for surgery. A male nurse started talking to me about Christmas. The nurses around him laughed like why are you talking to her about Christmas it's August? Ha ha ha But I didn't know and I didn't care. He was trying to distract me and take my mind off being scared. And as we talked about Christmas and Santa and gifts I was so happy and that's the last thing I remembered before I went "down." Thanks for sharing this story. I like when you guys share with all of us stories of Veterans being helped and the elderly and like this story. I get so weary of all the craziness in the world and These kinds of stories are always the best.
