  1. News omitted the fact that the houses will be at market prices, NOT "affordable/workforce" housing. PLUS NONE of the council members discussed a comprehensive impact/feasibility study for sewage, hurricane evac, garbage, etc.. Councilman Ed Montari pointed out on the map that there were already many areas zoned for these projects, but they are doing these quadplexes in these smaller/tighter neighborhoods.

  2. This effort goes alongside a move toward stronger public transit and walkable spaces. The wording in the report here was "higher density" – that's the concept. As such, families won't need multiple cars in Saint Pete's future. Projects like the new Sun-Runner, and other mass transit systems will handle long distances, while condensing market areas give consumers more opportunities to interact and options for purchase.

Saint Petersburg can't 'sprawl' anymore, stuck between bodies of water that rise every year. The only solution available to meet the explosive population growth is to compact and stack. It's an odd advantage that we've incidentally gone through our sprawl phase, as we can immediately move to more structurally permanent solutions.

Not sure what @Insp.Clouseau is upset about. "Locally across country." is an oxymoron,. I get what they mean, but it's still funny.

Additionally, the vague "Communism" I'm assuming is the "Awful" thing that is "Happening locally across country." if I piece that together correctly. Correct me if I'm wrong @Insp.Clouseau

What part of redistricting is Communism? The elected officials voting? The selling of property? Contractors building densely-packed homes to meet the growing demand of incoming home buyers moving to Saint Pete? Identify the Communism in this bill.; in the policy this bill follows.

This doesn't even meet criteria for Socialism, and that's a lower bar.

You're part of the reason why Americans have no idea what political ideologies outside of Liberal and Conservative – and Americans don't properly know either of those. You got Democrats letting NeoLiberals buddy up to Conservatives; the same Conservatives spineless enough to let literal Fascists take control the Republican Party with their 1/3 minority presence.

Anyways, there you go. Be less uninformed.

  3. I don't believe the parking arrangements of one car per unit if a quad Plex is realistic. What about visitors,no space for them. In historic Kenwood this isn't feasible on some affected streets. We don't have enough spots for current residents at times. Something that doesn't have realistic expectations in some areas. Also what the councils ideas of fitting in with the neighborhoods. More thought should be given. One of several issues to be studied. I understand more space is needed. There are many new people here and safety easily becomes a factor.
