  1. Oh the life long battle with good old 175"s A must have machine for sure for any floor care business. Easiest way to cut down on a few steps when carpet cleaning (shower feeding etc) Certainly can not match the speed in which they will clean, hence the other given name "swing machine" Swing to the left, swing to the right and bang all done. Along with the benefits comes the draw backs. Weight being the main one. Nobody wants to lug them across someone's front yard, across oily filthy parking lots or up a flight of stairs. Best anyone has come up with is……… Yep Pauly C, bigger wheels. Then you have dirty wheels to deal with. Back about 20 years ago someone came up with a "buffer cart" basically a set of large wheels you just sit the machine on to get across grass etc then you just take the machine off and leave the cart at the door. Mainly invented for getting up and down stairs. Obviously I was much younger back then and we always ran two man crews so never bought one. They stopped making them but boy would it be a blessing now. The worst is lugging one up a flight of nice shiny hardwood steps, not so bad until you clean the carpeted hall up there and now your shoes are all nice and slick and you have to carry that bad boy down. Again the only solution is larger wheels so the back of the machine doesn't scrape going down. I just started barefooting it down. Fun fun fun. Why not just use larger wheels you ask ? Well they slow down the cleaning speed of the machine on carpet. The lower you can ride the machine down on your leg the faster it will swing left to right. Also if you ride basically right above the knee you can get a ton of power scrubbing kicking the base up a little on its side. Can not do any of this with larger wheels. They will be to low and scrape across the carpet. Solution to this ? A riser UHHHHHHHG now we are back to the machine sitting way to high LOL. If you are used to riding a 175 close to your waist you are missing out on the advantages of keeping it down on the upper part of your leg. Orbital machine, different ball game. Those you ride up closer to your waist. They are meant for forward and back cleaning like a lawnmower instead of left to right. Most people going from an orbital to a 175 have to learn how to ride it lower but once you get the hang of it you see what you've been missing. All this to say Pauly if you want a better solution to transporting a 175 around maybe come back out with or speak to the guys at Encap Store about making a "buffer cart" Or maybe they called it "buffer caddy" Don't remember it was years ago but it would solve the problems. It looks like your swirly is a 15" Think about having a 17" to lug around. Back in the day we had 20" Viper machines 😮😮HEAVY Also Paul a riser is typically used on a shower feed brush, not a pad driver and they are not made to give height to a machine so larger wheels can clear the carpet when cleaning. They are made to to attach to the clutch plate on the shower feed brush so you can use a larger diameter brush, or pad driver on your machine. So you could put like a 20" shower feed brush or driver on a 15" machine giving you a larger cleaning path. The riser rises the machine up so it hovers over the brush or driver instead of the brush or driver needing to be 2" smaller than the base of your machine so it fits. Go to Power Flite website look up shower feed brush riser or maybe just riser and you'll find what you are looking for. They screw on, they do not snap on at least with the malish pad driver and shower feed brush you have. That grey one you have on this video is not made for use with a riser and those teeth will grab the crap out of Iron Man, and way to long for a cotton like Challenger pads. It is best suited for scrubbing pads like fiber plus or hog hair etc Really made for polishing pads. That is what the malish is for, cotton, bonnets etc. Hope that helps, Happy Cleaning 😁😁
