Test scores show pandemic learning loss could be growing

So far it looks like people are blaming the governor the people overseeing the ciriculum pathetic parents and teachers. Regardless how do we fix it? Blaming doesn’t help the kids. I will say it did not seem the kids were caught up in any way. They just picked up where they were . It was difficult for my daughter who has a learning disability. So I guess I’m one of those pathetic parents your talking about. Working home schooling s child with a disability trying to not loose my house keep the mental state of my family well and fear and uncertainty was all around. Whoever blames the teacher or the patents need a reality check. The teachers I doubt were even given instruction on how to catch all these kids up while still doing the ciriculum at the present they all started again. I’m my experience school administration cares about one thing and one thing only … the budget even at the cost of kids education and fairness

I’m a teacher. It’s not learning loss. It’s the people over seeing the curriculum. School districts only keep a curriculum a year or two before they change it. This never gives teachers enough time to get data from it nor does it give teachers enough time to master teaching it.
Also during the pandemic, there was no learning. MOST children did not even log on. And teachers were not ready for teaching online. It was hard.

That's because parents did not enforce the school from home. My oldest granddaughter tried that and we shut that attitude down real quick. Covid may have caused home schooling but alot of parents are to blame for not staying on top of their childrens home educatuon

If you care at all about your children's education, you'll home school. Teachers today aren't qualified to teach. You wouldn't let your child be in the same building, let alone the same room, with most of them. That, pathetic parents and ZERO expectations of the kids is why we have the majority of 2 generations incapable of succeeding at anything 😢

Stop blaming the pandemic for it. Blame the governors!

It’s almost like the leftist clowns were wrong and closing schools was bad. Go figure.

The students learning loss was not from the plandemic but rather from a pre-planned attack on them.
