A Tampa mom said her 8-year-old daughter was mauled by a neighbor’s dog over the weekend. It happened in Tampa’s Old Seminole Heights neighborhood. The victim’s family said the dog is still with its owners tonight, and they say that’s just not good enough.

  1. This should never ever happen….the dog owners have no right to keep this dog….it is a loose ‘gun’. The owners should be sued for the physical and emotional trauma this child will have for a life time. Hope this reporter stays on this case.

  2. I am so sorry this happened to her. Every time I see anything like this, I see my wife or my daughters. I was on the elevator alone which is only 6ft. wide a month ago. When the door opened, standing there was a gigantic, unmuzzled, wide mouth, massive head, tiger size Pit Bull Terrier with it holding the other end of the leash. When the monster saw me, the bloodthirsty beast immediately attempted to attack me, but it pulled the beast back. They both got on the elevator. I never want to, but I thought I was going to have to put the monster down that day. I am always prepared to do so. Of course it said what it always says. "He doesn't bite." This was approximately 30 secs after the monster attempted to attack me. I do not listen to it. I know everything about Satan's beast including it's maulings and deaths. This particular monster's record is quite extensive. My wife is terrified of dogs and Pit Bull Terriers. She gets behind me, holds on tightly and cries when one is near. She has every right to be and to do so. They are not me. Unlike man, dogs are not living soul. Dogs are beast of the field which means by nature, they are wild. Beast do what beast do whether two-legged or four-legged. Pit Bull Terriers are not dogs. They are actually monsters that were produced to search, chase, attack and kill their prey as quickly as possible. Monsters do what monsters do. It is very unfortunate that their lovers somehow seem to either not know or forget this all together, then learn or are put in remembrance of this the very painful way. If I ever desire to have a pet, I will purchase me an aquarium, then put some goldfish in it. Til this day, I have not seen any reports of anyone being bitten by anyone's pet goldfish.

  3. The neighbour who owned the dog should be arrested and held until everything is made right. And everything can not be made right. So the neighbour should be facing life imprisonment. People who own dogs should be held totally responsible for their dog's actions.

  4. For those who still watching this video. There was intense barking match among one loose German Shepard and some other dogs with their owners at my apartment. This time I called 911 and the guy I was talking to kept on asking me if that dog is a "threat". So, I finally almost gave up and told him I wasn't sure. But, I sure take it as a threat when the dog is barking it's head-off and loose at 11pm, Saturday night. I told him if this situation doesn't amount to anything, just forget it. Two deputies did show up, and I showed them the video I was able to take. Another dog owner showed up while I was talking to deputies and stated dog has been returned to the owner. The deputies promptly departed without talking to the owner or asking around. I guess Pinellas County is a leash-free county. And, no wonder people go into grocery stores and restaurants with their pet dogs(for time being) all the time. Pets are allowed anywhere now, so it seems. They bark and eat in a restaurant…. I work at a restaurant and more people than you think do come in with their dogs in non-charant manner. I even came across a huge dorberman type in Palm Harbor Supercenter. Its owner could barely hang on to him😅😅 I have no idea what's what! I guess people have to be ready and fend for themselves. I think I'm gonna get body-cam, to have both hands free! 😑😑
