  1. Great advice can’t wish the pads. Paul if you can recommend a bag for the Oreck orbiter that maybe has wheels and good handle. It is difficult getting around the city I got to do some planning ahead. But I would carry it into the bus.

  2. Just fired a BWW because of a new GM that doesn’t get it. We cleaned a BWW 6 to 8 times a year due to Grease problems from kitchen. It was a combo of tile and carpet. Anyways the previous GMs use to have an employee clean the tile several times a week to reduce the grease. The new GM simply didn’t have anyone clean it. I’m not kidding when I said you could literally skate on the tile because of the grease. Needless to say the grease levels on the carpets increased to the point a month after carpet cleaning grease trails appeared on the carpets. Couldn’t see the carpets for the grease. Anyways I use to start at 7am and had everything cleaned by 10:30 then placed fans for accelerated drying. It was definitely a hustle removing the grease. But carpets always looked great. I didn’t enjoy all the grease messing my pads up. Anyways the GM emailed me and told me moving forwards I had to Start @ 9am. So after a day of thinking about the new situation I told them they needed to find someone else. It would be impossible and not safe to clean and dry carpeting in 2 hours. The grease levels were so bad that I could see employees walking from the tile to the carpet and literally leaving grease footprints from the tile. Some jobs start well and unfortunately can become simply not worth the hassle. Enjoyed working for BWW but too much grease and an incompetent GM is not worth is for me.

  3. Nasty business doing restaurants, I even did them using the Host powder system! I no longer do them and certainly do not miss that, too much work, too dirty and inconvenient times and usually not worth the money. Looks like you did a fine job though but now you need to have a nap. My wife used to help me with those jobs then and still today she will tell the tale of doing under the fixed tables the cubicles on her hands and knees picking up petrified pizza crust.
