TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man is dead after a shooting in the 2600 block of Peachtree Drive Monday afternoon, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.

Officers found the man just after 5:30 p.m., according to a TPD social media post.

TPD said the shooting happened outside a home. The man’s name has not been confirmed. Also, TPD said per Marsey’s Law, they are not able to release the age of the victim and would only say he is a young adult.

Tallahassee police also said at this time, they do not have a suspect description available for release. Also, TPD said the preliminary investigation suggests this is an isolated incident and at this time, there is not believed to be a threat to public safety.

WCTV was at the scene earlier this evening. Our crew there noted several evidence markers next to a pair of crocs, along with shell casings.
