  1. My condo association had a vote and nobody wanted insurance on our building. I told them that I wasn’t comfortable with this and that Ian was supposed to go to us but turned and hit another part of Florida. They were like β€œwe haven’t had a hurricane in years”. I was so happy when the lawyer told the association that we needed to have the insurance. Sure my monthly fees went up 150%. But, if our building gets wiped out, there would be money to either fix our building or rebuild. Look at how busy this season is. They will also be glad that I helped the association to to get the special assessments and help explain why insurance is so necessary. πŸŒ€πŸ’¨πŸŒŠπŸŒ€πŸ’¨πŸŒŠπŸ™€

  2. Bret will remain a Tropical storm because of the large wind shear area and will fall apart because of this. The Islands will get much needed rain. The second one will not become anything.
This is according to the GFS and European. Geez!

  3. Thanks for the heads-up on these; tropical depressions and hurricanes are sometimes the only rain sources for parts of the US this time of year. Pray that they don't do damage or destruction but only bring beneficial rain.

  4. Man, thank God my investments in insurance companies are going to be so much better this year. It was getting rather concerning regarding this seasons coming hurricane, flooding and fire damage potential for 2023. I do think this could be a good time to require insurance for gun ownership, like auto insurance is a legal requirement, to make up for the slight decrease in profits. The freedom of the free market when utilized as it is meant to be, can assure my continuing my comfortable retirement. I guess it's going to test the "pull up the boot straps" crowds resolve. Anyone seen Desantis lately?
