What is the percentage of customers that are confused by this way of cleaning. How often are you questioned?
I recently went to a carpet cleaning supplier asking for vlm supplies here in UK and was told I cannot just use a tm3 and a rotary to clean carpets, I suspect this is because they sell hwe equipment. I know its horses for courses but got the feeling they were just wanting me to buy one of their hwe machines!
Some people don't know any better keep doing ya thing
I offer both methods, I have a Sandia 1200psi for carpet and tile and also a mini turbo heater for wand steam extraction, but prefer vlm in residences that client still lives in for drying reasons with traffic and less chance of mold formation, and i feel is healthier for client
The orbot is CRI approved as a deep cleaning method. If you invested in one you would at least have something to show a customer in this situation. Looks a little more professional too. Maybe that would help, maybe not. I’m sure some people would still object unfortunately.
Just a note. There are pads available that do a better job at scrubbing and absorbing dirt than the one that comes with the oreck.
I think encap is good to clean filtration lines too
I totally understand that situation that's why I do give customers the option. What ever makes them more comfortable. I get customers all the time that insist on steam. Others leave it up to me.
There is to much tribalism in this industry on both ends which to me is ridiculous. Both work well and to each his own. Feel for you in that situation and glad all ended well !
