Former President Donald Trump appeared Tuesday in Miami federal court, where he pleaded not guilty in the classified documents case.

Trump’s case marks the first time a former president is federally prosecuted. A 37-count indictment released last week accused him of deliberately keeping government documents that contained highly sensitive defense, weapons and nuclear information and of obstructing efforts by U.S. authorities to reclaim them.
