  1. VLM/SETT just makes more sense to me. Like I get it, there may be times you need more moisture to “flush” but do people really think they’re getting all the water out of the substrate if it takes hours and hours to dry.

  2. True…as an installer, I saw that a lot. I determined it was mostly that carpet powder/deodorizer that people sprinkle on carpets to mask odors. It can actually cause lumps under the carpet if it gets too wet.

  3. I went on a carpet cleaning course last week, the instructor didnt like me mentioning stuff like this and asking about the reality of removing pet stains and smells permanently, or whether to just junk the carpet!
