  1. I don't believe for a second the driver couldn't hear and see the train coming. He was most likely drunk, or on who knows what. You can't save people from their own stoopidity. Railroad crossing or no, if the driver couldn't obey a simple stop sign, they weren't fit to have their license in the first place.

  2. We suffer for our ignorance, and we die from our stupidity. Sorry to pile on, but I don't know how else to cope with a blazing stupidity that can't manage a fucking railroad crossing. A totally unnecessary tragedy. A stupid, stupid, avoidable tragedy.

  3. Im sure the toxicology reports will show the driver with cerveza in his blood. Im betting a modelo, being that he was driving an escalade which was prolly a 2003 they break apart like a lego. People need to pay attention to stop signs and railroad crossings more then their phones.

  4. The Driver was Clearly at Fault in this Tragedy.
    I've wondered, However…

If you are about to be in a Hopeless Crash (with a train, head-on with a tractor trailer, etc, if an ejection seat might be a somewhat safe option.
I Realize that UN-controlled ejection (from not wearing a seatbelt) is Very BAD in almost All Cases. What I envision, however, is a seat that rockets up through the roof (which would need to be perforated somehow.) over, and to the side of, the impact.

  5. The FRA sets certain standards and regulations for railroad crossings, including the use of lights, bells, and crossing gates (arms) as safety measures. These regulations are outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), specifically in Title 49, Part 234, which covers grade crossing safety standards. These regulations specify the types of warning devices that must be installed at railroad crossings, depending on factors like traffic volume and train speed.

State Laws: In addition to federal regulations, individual states in the U.S. may have their own laws and regulations governing railroad crossings. States often work in conjunction with local authorities and the railroads to ensure compliance with federal standards and address specific safety concerns.

Responsibility: The responsibility for installing and maintaining warning devices, such as crossing arms and lights, typically falls on the railroad company that owns the tracks. They are required to inspect and maintain these devices to ensure they are functioning correctly. However, state and local authorities may also have a role in ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  6. WHY IS IT SO DARK AND NOT ONLY SHOULD THERE NOT BE ANY GREENERY OF ANY KIND BUT MOST CERTAINLY NOT GROWN AND OUT OF HAND!! WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME THE SHRUBS WERE CUT BACK??! THATS A SCREAMING LAWSUIT BUT NO AMOUNT OF MONEY WILL EVER BRING THOSE PPL BACK FROM THE DEAD ! NOT TO MENTION THE CHILD WHOS BIRTHDAY THEY ALL WERE HEADING TO IN ORDER TO CELEBRATE WILL MOST LIKELY CARRY A GUILT FOR A GOOD PART IF NOT ALL THEIR LIFE BC HAD IT NOT BEEN THEIR BIRTHDAY AND NOT INVITED THEM THE ACCIDENT WOULD OF NEVER HAPPENED!! The child will end up with a. False guilt ! Pray for the family and this child ! So sad!
