Charles Robert McBride, 80, passed away on Dec. 22, 2022, at his home in Capitola, Fla. Born to Willard and Eula McBride, Charles lived his younger years in Mobile, Ala., before moving to Tallahassee, Fla., in 1979. Charlie loved playing golf, tennis, fishing, Elvis music and southern gospel. He especially loved his family.
He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings: Jane and Willard. Survivors include his wife, Sue McBride; sister, Sylvia Eubanks Baerlin; son, Bobby McBride (Amy); daughter, Shannon (Buddy); Stepson Conrad; nephew, Gene Eubanks (Cindy); five grandchildren; four great grandchildren, family friends that always called him “Papa Charlie” and many other close relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Lloyd, Lloyd, Fla., with the service following at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Oakfield Cemetery, located at 2462 Waukeenah Highway in Monticello, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Charlie in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd in Tallahassee, Fla., 32308 or First Baptist Church of Lloyd, P.O. Box 335, Lloyd, Fla. 32337.
