How in the hell do they sell a stolen vehicle without checking for the owner??? Something sounds shady!!!

So the car was stolen from the driveway..

The car was sold at auction from a towing company.

The events in between the beginning and end don't explain how the vehicle got to the towing yard or the auction and don't explain what the misunderstanding is. It sounds like the towing company was doing something very shady or illegal but got caught before they crossed the legal line. There seriously needs to be a better explanation.

Community nothing, they should have to report any vehicle they pick up to law enforcement to check it first. Someone in charge is not running operations efectively.

Tow company looking shady. First the car was auctioned off, then wfla does the story and magically they find it at the shop .

Did the tow company employees tow the car out of the victim's driveway or was it stolen by someone else and picked up??? I'm glad they got their car back!

This news report has information gaps. How did the towing company get possession of the vehicle in the first place? How did WFLA know the company had possession of it? Where did the idea that it was auctioned off come from?

So glad that this family got their car back. It should never have happened in the 1st place
