The events in between the beginning and end don't explain how the vehicle got to the towing yard or the auction and don't explain what the misunderstanding is. It sounds like the towing company was doing something very shady or illegal but got caught before they crossed the legal line. There seriously needs to be a better explanation.
Community nothing, they should have to report any vehicle they pick up to law enforcement to check it first. Someone in charge is not running operations efectively.
