  1. You have other companies that go to homeonwers houses that have mess up tiles on their roof because they know if they came give the homeowner a new roof due to tile damage. They can make the insurance company pay for something that wasnt even damage in a storm but just not well kept. And the agents that knock at those peoples door are money hungry they get paid 2,000 per week its door to door sales. I use to work for one just not for me it was in vegas too hot. Good for the homeowner they get a new roof but bad for the insurance company that have to pay out. A company needs to make money and those are the best ones that pay out.

  2. Biden and Democrats print tens of trillions of dollars and house/auto prices skyrocket. Not only are you bearing the brunt of the inflation caused by Democrat reckless spending…..but now insurance companies have to either raise rates through the roof b/c of hyper asset inflation…or just flat out quit writing policies. Farmers made a business decision.

  3. Insurance is outrageous in Florida. My husband is a Semi Truck owner operator and his new upcoming year he’s going from paying $36,000 yr to $64,000 yr for Auto.

I’m sorry but no one can survive rate hikes like that. Don’t know what we are going to to. And that’s just for his truck!

And for our house…. Hopefully a hurricane or fire never takes it out cause we can’t even afford homeowners insurance at all.

We already decided if it ever gets destroyed from a hurricane we’ll just be salvaging whatever we can pull out of it and just rebuild a tiny home out of what’s left.

Insurance is just nuts in FL cause you pay thousands and thousands of dollars $$ just for insurance companies to weasel out of having to cover you when disaster happens anyway.

It’s a total shame and heartbreaking to those who’ve spent there entire life savings to insurance companies for coverage just for them to rip it from you when you need them most.

  4. Not a "slap in the face", but a reasonable response of an insurance company who is insuring an inherently dangerous state to live in. Look, I love Florida, but the fact of the matter is that we have known that Florida is a dangerous state to live in, and It's only getting worse. At some point, people have to realize that living in a place like FL is simply unsustainable, or at the very least is impractical. FL is constantly in danger of rising ocean levels, sink holes, dangerous weather, and even hurricanes. It's not the responsibility of insurance companies to go broke because of your poor decision to live in an exceptionally dangerous environment. Insurance works because they cover the rare instances of misfortune, not the inevitably of disaster. Essentially, the insurance companies are doing what the citizens should have done YEARS ago and pulling out of an unsustainable area. I wish it wasn't so, but FL is dangerous and it is the right of the individual and the right if the company with financial interests in the area to decide the risks of the area. I specifically didn't move to FL because of these risks, and it is the right if a private company to cease their business in the area for the same reason. It sucks, but it's reality
