A six-week abortion ban was approved by the Florida House of Representatives Thursday afternoon. This vote was mostly along party lines. Republicans used that supermajority to get the bill across the finish line — even with a few defections — and lots of protests. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the bill Thursday night in Tallahassee.
