In January, 8 On Your Side was first to tell you about a Clearwater foster home where nine foster children were removed by state workers due to concerns about their safety and well-being. We have new information about the allegations made regarding the foster home and the couple that operated it, and for the first time, we hear from the couple’s attorney as he defends his clients.

  2. My nephews were part of the 9. They were put here because the former foster dad was arrested for molestation. It makes me so sad to think it’s 2 for 2. The children need to be regularly questioned in a safe space with someone familiar away from the home.

  5. To those men & boys… I BELIEVE YOU!!! I was an abuse victim from my BIO grand father, so just know it is WRONG in ANY setting, family and/or foster care situation and victims should be believed/removed first, and then "investigate"!! Save the child(ren) FIRST!!

  6. Why would one family be allowed to foster so many children? MONEY! When you are paid so much money for taking in children, it brings the greedy to the table. The US child protection service is utterly dangerous and needs a complete overhaul.

  9. There were foster parents next to my Nanas growing up , when I was little I would always want to go over there to play with the kids But was NEVER ALLOWED. As I got older No asked why and my nana would say age appropriate answers the first one being “ they’re strange and he’s weird “ fast forward to high school I heard some rumors then 2 years ago I was on the phone with my cousin who now lives there and she had told me he basically was NOT a good man and basically he was a straight PERVE 😮and also wasn’t very nice . The wife was either an idiot, ostrich with her head in the sand , or she’s Loopy herself . My point is unfortunately there’s more FOSTER PARENTS THAT R BAD BAD over good . For every 10foster homes, u may get 2-3 actual good ones

  15. The amount of physical ,sexual , emotional , financial , educational abuse that countless kids suffer on a daily basis in the foster "care" system is sickening , disgusting and appalling .

  19. Yeah abuse happened to my adult children in Texas we've always been told we can't do anything about it. I feel my kids deserve compensation. My daughter is now pasted because of the depression the state caused.

  29. The system is absolutely broken, in every state… I grew up in foster care, it was a nightmare! I had a baby when I was 12, even after giving birth I still was not believed that I was harmed, it wasn’t until after dna results proved who had gotten me pregnant that I was finally placed elsewhere… no amount of money will ever replace a horrific childhood… I hope these young men can heal and may their perpetrators receive the karma that they deserve 🧿
