  1. I use a combination method. Try using a beige fiber pad attached to your driver which you then place on top of a 16×16 microfiber cloth (available at Costco for $17 per pack of 36). The microfiber attaches to the fiber pad like Velcro. If you need it to be extra secure you can fold the corners over before placing the driver on top. Works really well for most residential applications. And you can use both sides of the towel.

  2. Good to see someone else using wash cloths. LOL
I use them on some jobs where the carpet is extra dirty and then I use my pads after they have gotten up the worst of the soil. It does take extra time, but I'm happy with the finished result and my clients so far are happy with the results too.

  3. Also I want to comment to you that before I decide to buy the Orexk I was inquiring about the Orbot Vibe for the versatility and then I found out that my accounts are pretty much residential, wool rugs and other fiber rugs types and I have very tight spaces I have to work, and I thought that Oreck Orbit could help me with that spaces issues.

  4. I just bought the Oreck Orbit XL with the carpet brush and two bonnets pads, and my question is; about how often I have to check the bonnet, also when I’m flipped should I be aware is not going to last as long the first part? Or it’ll be the same time on adsorption to lift all the dirt.

  5. I never had the need to mess up pad driver by adding velcro. Personally I just put a old red pad on, place a good washcloth on the carpet and oreck on it and go. The red pad acts as velcro and absorbent backing. I like used red pad seems to be more effective try it!

  6. Great job but I have to wonder if the Gain , since it is a foaming detergent, might leave a residue that would attract dirt because you are not rinsing. Also I have velcro strips on my oreck that I got at the Dollar Tree. They have been on the pad driver for quite some time, work great and don't tear up the pads like the stronger velcro does. Keep on cleaning up !!!
