  1. Yea the clutch is not universal , so that you will have to buy their brushes all the time, if they are reasonable enough no need to be troubled. You can unscrew clutch plates from old brushes and screw them on , male clutch plate on machine is removable also, just good to know if they ever went out of business, you can keep machine going with universal brushes and drivers

  2. It does look like a well made machine. The clutch is unusual as most have a sloped shoulder for the machine side to slide down before it locks in so be sure to soft start all the time. It appears to be about 10.25 amps so you have some room to work with there. My machines all have the big wheel upgrade and if you go to my channel and find the video where I introduce the Oxy-Dry SETT machine you will see how I did it and it looks like this machine will work with that style as well. I am actually just getting 2 more made and one is being sold to Glen Hedstrom for his new R44180 which is the same machine as my MD180. I expect your machine is likely about 98 # so it will be heavy up and down steps. The R44180 is 70#.
