NEW YORK, July 3, 2023  New York Knicks announced today that the team has signed guard Jaylen Martin to a two-way contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Martin, 6-6, 216-pounds, averaged 14.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 10 regular season games and 15.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in six postseason games for the YNG Dreamerz of the Overtime Elite last season. He finished second in the league’s Most Improved Player voting and helped lead his team to the OTE Championship series, which they lost to the City Reapers. He joined Overtime Elite prior to the 2021-22 season, appearing in 25 games and scoring in double figures in six of them. 

The Tallahassee, FL-native played three seasons at Florida State University High School under former Knicks guard Charlie Ward. He averaged 13.7 points and eight rebounds in 21 games during his junior season. He is scheduled to play for the Knicks Summer League entry in Las Vegas, NV this month.
