Sally Jeanne (Hogan King) Reeder, 90, died April 7, 2022 in her residence at The Springs of Lima, OH.

She was born April 30, 1931, in Waltham, Massachusetts, to Edgar Jay and Jeannette (McGarrity) Hogan. The household moved continuously throughout her childhood, residing in Ohio, Pennsylvania, California, New York, Maryland, and Florida, all earlier than her commencement from Rayen Excessive Faculty in Youngstown.

Sally attended Wellesley College from 1949-1951 as a Pendleton Scholar. She later accomplished her schooling at Bowling Inexperienced State College, incomes BA and MA levels whereas elevating her 4 youngsters. She taught Spanish briefly at Delphos St. John’s highschool and at Lima Westinghouse earlier than becoming a member of the college of Bluffton College, the place she remained for 10 years.

In 1952 she married Raymond E. King, Jr. of Wooster, OH, an Air Power veteran, whom she met whereas each have been college students in Massachusetts. They lived in Lima, the place he was an engineer within the aerospace division of Westinghouse Electrical Company. He died in February 1960. In March 1961 she married Richard S. Reeder of Lima, at that point director of Encore Theatre. They made their life collectively in Lima and Bluffton till his demise on June 16, 2014.

Sally is survived by the next youngsters: Gary King of Louisville, OH; Nancy King Ferguson (William) of Worcester, MA; and Mark Reeder (Brenda) of Lima. A son, Gregory King, is deceased. She can also be survived by the next grandchildren: Chad King (Michelle), Sarah King Hartzler (Douglas), Emily King Coulter, Matthew Reeder, and Megan Reeder Pasion (Randy), all of Lima; Heather King Harley (Jason) and Rachel King Miller (Shawn), within the Columbus space; and Gretchen King (Chris Dang), of Texas. Eighteen nice-grandchildren and one nice-nice grandchild additionally survive. A brother, Jay Hogan is deceased. A sister, Judith Cline (James) of Coupeville, WA, survives, as do two half-brothers, James Hogan of Washington, D.C. and John Hogan of Tallahassee, FL.

Two issues Sally particularly loved have been sharing her love of Spain with household, particularly her grandchildren, and researching her family tree.

Sally was a member and Elder of Bluffton Presbyterian Church. She additionally was a previous trustee of the Bluffton Public Library and the Bluffton-Richland United Manner. Memorial presents could also be made to the church or to the Richard and Sally Reeder Household Scholarship Fund at Bluffton College.

A Celebration of Life for Sally shall be held at a later date.
