Something Good – Leon County, Tallahassee celebrate MLK

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Leon County is taking time to honor some special folks ahead of Martin Luther King Junior Day on Monday.

The county and city held an awards ceremony Wednesday outside the courthouse.

This year’s honorees include FAMU and FSU’s athletic directors Tiffany-Dawn Sykes and Michael Alford, respectively.

Administrators for all Leon County Title I schools were also acknowledged.

Other Tallahassee locals honored today include Dr. Ray Mobley from the Tallahassee chapter of 100 Black Men, the ICE Foundation’s G.C. Murray II. and FAMU President Dr. Larry Robinson.
