Yep. Maid service around here gets the carpet so wet that it is still wet 5 days later and stinks to high heaven. That wood floor looks awful. Needs to be striped and recoat . We do those too when maid services mess them up. These maid services need to stay in their lane. They clearly don’t understand the chemistry process. All that soap in the carpet would lead to rapid resoiling.

How many ounces of Citrus acid did you mix into the 32 ounce bottle of isopropyl alcohol?

Thank you for the tips on citric acid and alcohol. I use a portable and rinse with fresh water to keep my pump etc from deteriorating from any acid rinse. This way I can avoid using vinegar to neutralize my prespray after cleaning.

Are you concerned with pile damage from excessive agitation? You can shred a cheap polyester with a CRB. I am also wary of the CRB on high end nylons.

It's the product they used that is flaking away. A red pad is for cleaning and buffing to give the shine you want. It's not the pad the problem.
