TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Lori Paige was last seen on Continental Court near Ocala Road in June 2023. The Tallahassee Police Department reposted Paige’s poster on their Facebook page Tuesday to remind the community the 12-year-old still hasn’t returned home.
This is the longest missing juvenile case the police department has seen in the past year, according to TPD.
Paige is a smart and attentive student, and the fact she has been missing this long is unsettling, Griffin Middle School teacher Margaret Summers said.
TPD said this case is unique because Paige is not on social media, so she has no digital footprint for investigators to follow. At this time, Paige’s information has been entered into the national and state missing persons database, TPD said. The police department said they shared her information with neighboring law enforcement agencies as well.
There was one report of the 12-year-old running away one month prior to her disappearance last June, according to TPD detective AnnaLee Drake. She said over the past several months, they have looked into every potential lead, but they haven’t gotten any closer to finding Paige.
The police department has been working with Paige’s family, who department officials say haven’t heard a word from her since she vanished.
The length of time she has been missing and her age has concerns growing for officials and her teacher.
“I do not believe for a second that she’s sustaining herself. There’s adults who can’t even make it on their own,” Margaret said.
